A Bit About Myself
All my adult life I have been fascinated by human behaviour and characteristics: I have always held a natural gift towards dealing with and understanding people’s problems. I knew I was good at it – for decades friends and colleagues had confided in me and brought their problems to me as if I were an old sage. Yet the penny had never dropped, that here lay my true vocation – or maybe it was, as illustrated in my birth chart, that the time would not be right to undertake this role properly until mid-life. Prior to that time was the learning I was destined to go through, and perhaps the most important lesson was that of astrology itself.
I am married with one son (and three cats!) and I carry out my astrological services from home, where I also tend our 1 acre butterfly garden - a garden nature reserve, a piece of countryside on our very own doorstep. Together with astrology, I obtain great therapy from it. As the garden matured over the years it became apparent to us that in addition to its obvious appeal to nature lovers, it was also perfect as a retreat for meditation and the like. So we now open it up as a combined amenity: the butterfly garden itself and also as a place for relaxing, wandering, being at one with the Universe, and whilst here you can sample my wife's various holistic therapies on offer (plus my astrology of course!).

Once I discovered astrology, and the self help derived from it that we can benefit so much from, there was no holding me back. I wanted as many people to benefit from it as I had. That has always remained my aim, and I now have clients both locally, nationally, and internationally. Despite this, I have retained my speciality as a personal astrologer – offering specific advice to the individual as determined by their birth chart and whatever I derive from it.
Via this website I would like to share my passion of astrology, and from what I have learned, pass on my knowledge to help others. If nothing else, I will be happy if this website distils the myth surrounding Sun (star) signs and daily newspaper horoscopes. This is what gives astrology a bad name - there is so, so much more to it than just the Sun signs.
This is NOT a full introductory astrology course, although the elementary issues are covered in the BASICS OF ASTROLOGY section for anyone interested. Rather, it is an attempt to convey how simply and effectively it can help you in everyday situations - once you have a grasp of the basics - just how it has (and does) me. However, I am always willing to spend time with clients who wish to understand the basics more thoroughly, especially in connection with understanding their own charts or of someone close to them. For those not local to me (the majority of the world!) this interchange can be conducted via e-mail.
I do not profess to understand how or why astrology actually works - all I know is that it does. When my interest was first aroused, after having my appetite whetted, I set out to prove or disprove whether astrology works. To cut a very long story very short, I have no doubts whatsoever as to it's accuracy. I now use it all the time, to not only understand people better - what makes them tick and why they react to situations in certain ways - but to also understand MYSELF more. And I teach others via my occasional workshops at home, corresponding via e-mail, or preparing analyses on their behalf. Since my interest began I have built up a vast amount of interactive character data - initially from professional books on the subject - but then expanded upon by comparison of all the astrological data of my friends, colleagues, and acquaintances past and present. It is the studying of this data and the various interactions the different factors have on others, that has given me such a knowledge and understanding of a person's psyche just by researching their birth chart. To put it simply, I know what to look for in a person's birth chart - it is like reading music: to a musician a sheet of music makes absolute sense, but to a person who does not read music, it is hieroglyphics.
